Time to share another LO using goodies from BlueMoon Scrapbooking!!

I used paper from October Afternoon

Gorgeous applique from Melissa Frances and chipboard lettering from Basic Grey.

And chipboard accents from Cosmo Cricket

Here’s my layout!!

Oh yes….all of this on a background of very versatile Basic Grey Kraft paper.

And…see that little envelope and tag??  Yep…that’s Melissa Frances too!!!

A dreamy kit!

This week, I created another LO using the Perfectly Penelope kit from BlueMoon Scrapbooking and, let me tell you, this kist is FULL of fantastic and gorgeous goodies!!

Here's another peek at this kit, for those who are wondering!

One thing that I love about each of these BlueMoon kits is that they each contain a different color of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist!! And this Glimmer Mist has now become a 'must' on just about each of my creations! And this kit was no exception.

Misting has become my new best friend.

Check out how I used this Basic Grey Doilie, placed it on my page, misted around it using a mix of Glimmer Mist Coral Reef, Cosmo, and Tattered Rose. It created a gorgeous effect on my pink cardstock.

And don't worry about wasting that piece of Doilie. Just remember to mist using the backside, then you can flip the piece over and still us it on the LO. Just like I did here!

So...are you ready to see the final LO?

Yep...I love my mist!!

On this LO I also used:
Anna Griffin paper and lettering
Prima chipboard accents, crystals, and mini buds
Basic Grey paper and
Jennie Bowlin vintage style buttons

AND....just because I am having so much fun with this kit....I am going to share another I created!

For this next LO, I decided to go a little monochromatic with the greens. And I found the perfect picture for it!

White is Right!!

Today I am posting just a simple post to show you how totally AMAZING this Natural Living kit is!!!

Did you happen to see the paper purses that ABBY created! She is pure inspirational genious!!

So today I wanted to show you how the items in this kit could be paired up with just plain WHITE cardstock (which everyone has in their stash! AND....if you are running low, just scroll through the selection of Bazzill Basics cardstock selection in the Blue Moon store and add a couple of white cardstock sheets to your next order!!

Check out this first LO I made!

See how the greens and yellows just pop!!

AND....I used the ClearSnap SMOOCH Spritz for the background! See how it just POPS on the white!!

In this next LO, I also used the SMOOCH Spritz, but first I placed the 7 Gypsies Printed tape on the page, spritzed the page, then removed the tape! See the neat effect it created?

Here's a closeup for the taping effect! (I also stitched it to make the masking more noticable)

And another close up of the gorgeous elements that comes in the kit!

So...as you can see, sometimes WHITE is just RIGHT for a layout design. It could be just the element needed to make your layout stand out from the rest!

I really like that quote! Because it is so true! Don't you find that even if you're having a rotten day, when you see someone smile, it changes how you are feeling almost immediately!!

Both of my designs this week are based on this theme - SMILE!!!

OK.....now to my projects....

I used this kit:

Filled with sooooooo many little goodies that can be used for a variety of projects!

I completed this first LO using 7 Gypsies pp, Basic Grey Doilie, and Basic Grey letter stickers!

Check out how rich these colors look!

Here is part of the title! (I actually took photos of how I did this, but deleted them accidently from my camera.....UUGG....)

I used my Cricut to cut out the letters, then placed the outline of the letters on my page, and painted them using the Claudine Hellmuth paint. So much fun!! Then I outlined the letters using my Uniball Signo pen!

This next LO was also created around the "SMILE" theme! My daughter presents a HUGE smile every time she sees me with the camera. This photo was taken in the pool last summer!

And creating this LO, just made me smile because it kind of just fell together. So easy to do with such a FABULOUS kit!

I used my EK Success border punch to create a layered border effect! (and a peek at the Basic Grey Woolies too!) And a lovely way to show off the variety of papers found in this kit!

And how I decorated the Basic Grey letters!
This kit presents soooo many opportunities for so many inspired projects! I am looking forward to creating so much more in the upcoming weeks!

Wow! So many great projects have been shared on this blog so far this week. AND...I have another project to show you!!

But, first, I have a question.

Here's what I ended up with!!

A very pretty wall display with such rich colors and beautiful flowers and glitz!



I have to say that this is my first time playing with this Claudine Hellmuth paint, but it was so easy. I actually added water to the paint to thin it out:

Then brushed it over the canvases:

After the paint dried, I spritz over them using the Smooch and Glimmer Mist!!

After adding the photos, I finished the project off with fun elements from the kit!

Doesn't this kit look beautiful??

Susan's January Challenge!

Welcome to Thursday!

I'm here today to share with you, my LO that I created using this Basic Grey Doilies and the challenge for this month!

This is a Vintage Challenge - Remember the good old times when things were simple and neighbors and relatives all had doilies. The mothers and grandmothers gathering with the smell of small fine pastries, percolating coffee and crème filled the air. Make a layout using an old photo and a doily.

Here's how I made my LO.

~ I took a piece of cream color cardstock for the background.

~ I then cut the inside out of the doilie and temporarily stuck it to my page.

~ I then took my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and sprayed it over the entire page.

~ I removed the piece of doilie to reveal a really cool pattern created by using the holes in the doilie!

~ Then I proceeded to layer my paper, add the photo and the embellishments!

~ This photo of my sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was perfect for the challenge! Check out how they are ALL wearing Collars of Lace!!

Happy Thursday everyone!!

I can't believe the week went by so quickly, and it's my turn once again to share with you some inspiration created using the Hugs and Kisses Kit!!

Here's a photo of this kit that I am playing with this month!!!

What a totally amazing kit!!

I created two more LOs to share with you hope they inspire you!

This kit is so versatile and I found I could use it for a variety of themes and photos!

My first LO shows just that!!

I used this kit to create a 'first day of school' layout! FUN!!!

For this LO, I used my cricut to cut out the scalloped circle, and my sewing machine to make a stitched frame around the whole page!

Here are some clos-ups of this LO: my journalling, the stitching, and the chipboard hearts that I covered with white cardstock and stamped with the Pink Paislee acrylic stamps that comes with the kit!

And this next LO, was a fun one to create. I used a piece of my own light blue Bazzil cardstock, which is available at Blue Moon Scrapbooking , and I think went very well with the pretty blue paper from Pink Paislee from the kit! I used a border punch to decorate the edge of the paper, and inked it as well.

I rarely know what my title will be when I first start a LO, and this one was no exception. Although I still have LOTS of Prima letters left, I decided to use one of the Fancy Pants rub-ons for the title! I think it fits perfectly for this photo of my older daughter!!

I completed the LO using a cluster of flowers and my doodling!

That's all from me today! There are still kits left in the Blue Moon Scrapbooking store , AND there are sooooooo many other amazing, and fabulous kits that are marked down to VERY low prices! (I took advantage of the sale myself! lol)
