Melanie's Monday Column 12-14-2009

T'was the week before Christmas and BlueMoon has done it again...Giving us kit after kit so we can create with again and again.

My kit for December is called Christmas Jewels, available right now in the store! I have created 3 layouts which I'll share each Monday for the next 2 weeks. Then in January, this blog gonna be rockin' with inspiration/challenges/techniques day after day from BlueMoon's new Design Team! Once again, a big congrat's to them!

My layout is called "and the stockings were hung..."

After looking though my Christmas pictures, I came across this one. I thought if I enlarged it-I could add the 3-d stockings. I cut and stitched till I came up with 3 stockings...

Here's a close-up. I enjoyed making these one of a kind embellishments for my page.

Here are a couple tags I cut and embellished. The Making Memories paper is so pretty and it's flocked, love that detailing on it. The Maya Road Sequin Ribbon is really cool, it's the first time I ever used it. It's easy to cut and won't fall apart (I was afraid if I cut it all the sequin's would fall off, but they don't.)

I used some of the packing from Bo-Bunny-it was perfect for my page. Can you tell what I used? Probably not, so I'll share, it is the Santa on the bottom and the greenery around my journaling. So keep the packaging, there's lots of great stuff on it to use.

Have a great week and I'll be back next Monday!
