*traveling gothic* :):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Hi all....

Happy Friday!!!! Julie Tucker-Wolek here and I wanted to share a LO I have made with some oh-so-yummy goodies I have gotten from Blue Moon! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

A couple of weeks ago...my family and I went and visited the traveling statue of that 'sometimes creepy' couple known as, "American Gothic"....It was really cool to see in person! :):):):) And it was HUGE!!! My son, who wears a size 11 mens shoe, put his foot up next to "Mr. Gothic's" foot and it was like a baby's foot next to the Jolly Green Giants FOOT! LOL! :):):):):):) Soooooooooooo of course, being a scrapper...I had to take a gazillion photos of Mr. and Mrs. Gothic...and that is the subject of my LO! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Since the topic is this famous couple....I did a lot of distressing and used Tim Holtz's distressed inks to give it a vintage feel! :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

I used a lot of the NEW Webster's Pages too.... :):):):):):):):):):):):)

And even though typically the NEW Dear Lizzy, from American Crafts isn't for a "vintage" look...I think I made it work on here with the stickers and chipboard stickers that I used! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

And I used Basic Grey's alphas too!!! I loveeeeeeeeeee their alphas! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Thanks for stopping by....I hope U all have a FABULOUS WEEKEND and a FABULOUS NSD too!!! Thanks for the support on our DT BLOG here....we truly appreciate U stopping by! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

A little bit of Sass!!

Well, I thought about creating something
with the product I received
in the Perfectly Penelope kit
...to share in this week's blog post....

BUT...my plans all changed
when I received...
the kit for May month!!

Although this kit
is not on sale yet in the store....
you can check out the products
I used in this kit....and....
just sit patiently and wait...
until this kit goes up for sale

on MAY 2!!!

For this LO I used:
Sassafrass Cherry Delicious papers
Sassafrass Cherry Delicious  glitter letters
Basic Grey Green at Heart letter stickers
Tattered Angels Glimmer mist Sapphire
Jenni Bowlin adhesive Butterflies

Here's what I
created!!

(Btw, this is a photo of my younger DAUGHTER! I know she looks like a little boy...lol)

See how deliciously full of sass this kit looks?

Better be quick when it goes on sale!

Thanks for looking!

MISTING MADNESS

Good morning all! B here!
Last weekend, four of us hung out at an amazing winery and even MORE AMAZING bed and breakfast.
You can see those fun pics here.
It was my friend's bday and I went a little nuts on the misting for her presents! haha
I misted on the bag above.
And added a little flair to the plain green cardstock.
Then, I made her an album that she can just add her own photos to later.
Loving the crystal danglies and Tim Holtz word tags.
Lots of Sass paper going on here.

And more misting. :D

***I INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO BRING YOU A SNEAK***
Come back tomorrow to see the rest of this necklace!

Product breakdown from the mini album and card:
Theresa Collins damask paper (b/w paper on card)
Sass Paper
Websters Pages Ribbon
Tim Holtz charms
Maya Road Canvas Album
The mists, swirly and butterfly masks came in this kit.
Let me tell you...that kit is TOTALLY worth the $24.99. You get so much stuff in it!! And so much of it you will use over and over!

Have a great week!

Melanie's Monday post...with a new kit!!!

It's time for a new kit at BlueMoon. This kit is a little different from the kits I have received in the past. It's definitely more manly in color and embellishments (that don't mean it's just for men though!). There's some cool feathers, a fun looking alphabet, lots of cool papers from Graphic 45. A great blue and brown color combo!

The first layout is called:
BECAUSE OF YOU

It seems like I mostly scrapbook my children, but my husband needs to have a page once in a while too! This hobby is about memories right!

you guessed it...poem time! I used the tiny type letters by Cosmo Cricket. Poems are a great way to fill up empty space.

The paper tape measure was cut out from the A Proper Gentleman Graphic 45 paper, they are lots of fun  elements like the story tickets included in the kit. I made little patches because I wanted to incorporate some plaid into the layout because it matched my husbands shirt.

Did you catch the hand-stitching? Bazzill has these really cool products called Bazzill in Stitch'z Floss and Needles. The thread colors are in blue's and browns. Absolutely a perfect compliment to this kit!

The K & Company letters are fun. I cut them out and after gluing them down I felt they needed just a little bit of extra omph...so I applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the top of them, now they're shiny and have a little more dimension.

Here's a picture of the new kit, it just went up for sale yesterday! For more info on the kit, please visit the BlueMoon store!

***Don't forget about our birds and butterfly challenge this month! The BlueMoon Gallery is looking great!

Have a wonderful day!

ISN'T SHE LOVELY? by Lynnette Davis

I'm kicking this Birds & Butterflies Challenge off with this newest layout of mine titled:
"Isn't she lovely?"

This is a layout of my dearest Mother.  You will see a butterfly (and dragonfly) in the top corner of the page with rhinestone jewel trails behind them.  No birds, however I've included feathers instead of the full flown bird. A little twist I thought I'd do and if it's not good enough....those little cherubs aren't birds but they do have wings. :-)

You can find the patterned paper, flowers, jewels, 3d stickers and leaves you see here at BlueMoonScrapbooking.

Try your hand at this EASY challenge!  Just use Birds and Butterflies in any creation of your choosing and show us what you did by uploading it into the gallery by May 22nd. One winner will be chosen by the DT and will be able to choose either a Tim Holtz Butterfly Die and a $10 shopping spree as a prize -or- a $30 shopping spree.  How cool is that??
The only catch is that there needs to be at least 5 entries for this challenge in order for there to be a winner.  So, go tell all your scrappy friends about this fabulous challenge and get them to play along too!

Thanks for looking and I hope you play along!
