For my layout I used the beautiful Webster's Pages, I did add my own vintage embellishments I had such as the angel and the sheet music paper.
I used my distress technique on the sheet music and spritzed it with the glimmer mist included with the kit, along with a coffee brown (must have!) color. I really like the way a spritz of a couple colors of glimmer mist looks on a layout. It just adds a little something you didn't even know was missing.
I felt my picture need that dreamy look to it, so I printed it in black and white, sanded the edges to make them melt into the layout. I did the same with the Cosmo tiny alphabets as well. The white ribbon on the left hand side of the photo is the back side of the yellow Maya Road ribbon included in the kit. The Maya Road pins are available in the store in many styles.
You probably already know me and my style, it's no secret I like texture and dimension. A really easy way to do this is to cut the shape out out of an extra piece of paper (remember paper is a great embellishment), attach a pop-dot and place it over the top the the same picture. And to really make it stand out try curling the edges and adding Tim Holtz distress inks or stickles to the edges.
In the kit is a Dear Lizzy chipboard piece with the word "dreams" on it. It was pink-cute but not working for my layout. It just need to be altered...I added Modge Podge and some Martha Stewart glass metallic microbeads over the word. I like the texture it has now and goes really well with the photo of my daughter playing in the sand.
