A Brand New Year with a Brand New Kit! For January we'll be starting out the month with a new kit called Flirtatious, available NOW! Hurry on over to the store and pick one up today, before they sell out! (there's actually 2 new kits the other is called Hugs and Kisses)
My layout is called Higher, I was inspired by the hot air balloons on the Webster's Pages paper. That company really rocks the pattern papers, I always have to get 2 of each because the back is just as great as the front!
I searched for a feel good quote and loved this one:

I really like adding quotes or sayings to my pages, it fills up the page and adds interest when others view my albums. Plus my kids read them and learn famous quotes, p0ems and sayings.
Adding dimension with the pop-dots is really easy but for more texture I cut out some circles from some left over pattern paper and added a few Basic Grey Opaline pearls.

By adding little dots of Ranger Ink Dimensional Pearls you can get a really pretty look. It reminds me of rain drops on a leaf or flower petal. This is a must have for your scrapbook stash (good thing it's included in the kit!)

(and here)
I used the Maya Road envelope as a journaling pocket, I think they are so pretty with the scalloped edges and since they are kraft colored they would be very easy to alter with Glimmer Mist or stamps.

I am so excited to stop by each day to see the wonderful eye candy the new design team is going to bring us! I hope you are too!
